Power Grid Recruitment Exam Pattern

The Power Grid Recruitment Exam pattern is designed with an objective-type format, where candidates will face multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The test comprises a total of 170 questions, each carrying 1 mark, resulting in a maximum of 170 marks. One important thing to note is that there is a negative marking scheme. For every incorrect answer, 1/4th of a mark will be deducted, so candidates should attempt questions carefully to avoid unnecessary loss of marks.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for applying For Diploma Trainee is 27 years, and it will be calculated as of 12th November 2024. This means that candidates must not have exceeded 27 years of age on or before this specified date to be eligible.

Pay Scale (Monthly Salary)

Candidates selected through the PGCIL will first undergo a one-year training period. After successfully completing the training, they will be offered a monthly salary based on the post they are assigned.

For the Junior Engineer Gr-IV/Junior Officer Gr-IV level posts, the pay scale is Rs. 25,000 – 3% – Rs. 1,17,500 (IDA), and the approximate annual CTC (Cost to Company) is Rs. 11.9 Lakhs. For the Assistant (F&A) at the W4 level, the pay scale is Rs. 22,000 – 3% – Rs. 85,000 (IDA), with an annual CTC of approximately Rs. 10.3 Lakhs.

Selection Process
